Creative Industries University Lecture in Tallinn

David Parrish gave a creative industries university lecture to students at the Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School at Tallinn University in Estonia on the topic of ‘How to be a Creative Entrepreneur’.

David’s creative industries university lecture was based on his Creative Business Growth Framework. It focused on (1) Defining Success precisely, (2) identifying Competitive Advantage and (3) Strategic Marketing. These three elements then come together to build a ‘Business Formula’. David also distributed copies of his article ‘Create Your Own Business Formula’, which is available as a free download in several languages.

The lecture included examples of successful business methods from David’s own businesses as well as using case studies from creative industries businesses in the UK and worldwide.

He was invited as a guest university lecturer because of his direct experience of setting up and managing creative enterprises, plus his extensive international work advising creative businesses as a management consultant, coach and trainer. David has lectured at universities in several countries and advised on creative industries curriculum development. He is also a popular keynote speaker at creative industries conferences world-wide.

David invited students to download digital copies of his two books: ‘T-Shirts and Suits: A Guide to the Business of Creativity’ and ‘Chase One Rabbit: Strategic Marketing for Business Success. 63 Tips, Techniques and Tales for Creative Entrepreneurs’.

David also presented signed paperback copies of his book ‘T-Shirts and Suits: A Guide to the Business of Creativity’ to the University Library.
