David designed and delivered a workshop on Leading Creative Cultures for leaders, managers and business owners at the Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE) in Saudi Arabia.

The workshop focused on developing leadership skills to encourage a culture of creativity and innovation in businesses and organisations. This includes using creative tools for generating ideas in the workplace, drawing on David’s experience as a Creativity Consultant in combination with his expertise in Leadership. David also spoke about leadership styles appropriate to building a culture of creativity and innovation. These leadership skills apply in the creative industries and other sectors of the economy, including the public sector, universities and NGOs as well as the private sector.

“Creativity applies in all sectors of the economy as well as in the creative industries,” said David, referring to his TEDx talk and article about ‘a-Creativity’ and ‘i-Creativity’. He presented examples of creativity and innovation from business, public services, the not-for-profit sector, education and sport.

The interactive training workshop provided an opportunity for participants to share their own experience of leadership and reflect on how they can further improve leadership skills in relation to creativity and innovation.

The workshop was part of the Program for Advanced Leadership and Management ‘PALM8’ at the Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE).

The Program for Advanced Leadership and Management is an initiative of the Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE). The programme attracts leaders, managers and business owners from Saudi Arabia and other countries.

Program speakers and workshop facilitators came from around the world, including business schools in Canada, Spain and the USA, plus companies from other countries. Also from the UK was leadership guru Tony Swainston.

David works internationally as a business growth adviser, creativity consultant, trainer and speaker through his company T-Shirts and Suits Ltd, based in the UK.
