David gave a university lecture at ADA University in Baku, Azerbaijan on the subject of “Creativity in the Studio – and in the Office”.
His university lecture outlined different aspects of creativity that can be applied in creative enterprises and businesses in any industry sector. David spoke about a range of business models that can be used in the creative industries and provided examples from his work with creative entrepreneurs around the world.
His university lecture included creative business topics such as:

– Licensing Intellectual Property
Following his university lecture and answering questions from students, David donated a signed paperback copy of one of his books to the university library. ‘T-Shirts and Suits: A Guide to the Business of Creativity’ is internationally renowned and has been published in translations in several countries around the world.
David working in Azerbaijan with the British Council and the Culture & Creativity EU-Eastern Partnership Programme. This Programme is designed to help the cultural industries and creative enterprises in Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Moldova.
The Programme is managed by a consortium led by the British Council, in partnership with the Soros Foundation-Moldova, the National Centre for Culture of Poland and the Goethe-Institute.
