David delivered a module of an online course on Creativity and Entrepreneurship in Latin America for ALADI, the Latin American Association for Integration.

He shared his experience and expertise to make a presentation about the keys to the success of SMEs in the creative industries and ICT.

David has extensive experience of the creative industries worldwide, including creativity and entrepreneurship in Latin America. He has spoken about the Orange Economy (“Economia Naranja”) at conferences and events in Latin America and the Caribbean, including in Colombia, Brazil, Chile and Curacao.

David’s books are available in Spanish and his website includes information and resources in Spanish and Portuguese.

The Creative Economy, also known as the Knowledge Economy, is considered an important sector in constant growth. Long-standing activities such as fashion and furniture design, music, dance, painting and others, whose emergence is more recent and associated with digital technology such as video games and animation. However, its definition is still evolving, while its scope and nature are being shaped by major global trends derived from advances in digital technology and changes in socio-cultural patterns. This course seeks to promote knowledge of this sector of the economy in constant growth at a global level and its importance for the development of the countries of the region. In particular, present some of the relevant aspects for the strengthening and sustainability of creative industries ventures.
